Abt Married Life
Married life is a whole-hearted commitment of love, support and protection. It develops gradually from understanding, true loyalty. Its a partnership of equality, gentleness, generosity, calm and dedication. &giving strength and moral courage to one another, each manifesting a supportive and appreciative recognition of the other's skill in caring and providing for a family. Each is complementary to the other .
John J. Robinson in his book Of Suchness mentioned abt married life. "If you have the right mate, it's heavenly; but if not, you live in a twenty-four-hour daily hell that clings constantly to you, it can be one of the most bitter things in life"
Mrried life in Islam
"And among His signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your hearts. Verily in that are signs for those who reflect." (Qur'an 30:21)
In the Qur'an, the marriage relationship is described as one with "tranquility," "love" and "mercy." Elsewhere in the Qur'an, husband and wife are described as "garments" for each other (2:187). Garments offer protection, comfort, modesty, and warmth." (7:26). Muslims view marriage as the foundation of society and family life.
Aft marrige we get some responsibilitities, may get pain & pleasure,ups & downs, misunderstanding, difficulties , many probs also. There s a proverb,that there can only be a peaceful married life if the marriage is between a blind wife and a deaf husband, for the blind wife cannot see the faults of the husband and a deaf husband cannot hear the nagging of his wife. (so funny !)
But we can over come all these, if we ve love,trust for one another and the strong will power to reduce all sorts of pbs. Sharing our each feelings is the true spirit of a long-standing life partnership. Proper financial & budgeting are also necessary. If the family consists of in laws, lady should give every respect to her in-law, serve them lovingly&rightly. She should honor and respect her husband's relatives, friends & collegues too.
